Alliant Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Prevailing Wage (Labor Compliance) Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This is an in-office position in San Diego, California. The Labor Compliance Manager will lead our local office. The position will include hiring, training and overseeing our labor compliance teams, working with our local and national clients and supporting the company’s mission of compliance. You must have 8-10 years of management experience and a minimum of 6 years of prevailing wage/labor compliance experience to be considered for this senior level position.

WHO ARE WE HIRING? Leaders! Specifically, a Labor Compliance Manager in San Diego, California.
Labor Compliance Managers are vital to the company’s continued growth. Your duties will include a variety of prevailing wage and management responsibilities including hiring and training labor compliance teams, supervision of labor compliance teams, project and team capacity management, and client portfolio management. You will maintain client relationships, ensuring that project deliverables are met while cultivating efficient and effective teams. This position may require some travel as needed to maintain client relations and to ensure that projects are successfully overseen.
WHAT DOES THE JOB LOOK LIKE? Here’s what you’d do:
- Help workers across the country get money owed to them. They work hard, let’s help them get paid!
- Hire and train team(s) to ensure they are prepared to follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Lead and manage team(s) to ensure they are meeting project deliverables and approving adjustments to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Brief and debrief team(s) to ensure understanding of oversight requirements from project assignment to close out.
- Oversee and provide support to Supervisors and Team Leads to ensure client satisfaction and to minimize liability.
- Monitor team members’ performance and productivity.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members; complete performance evaluations.
- Implement strategies to improve team morale and overall performance.
- Maintain Demand Plan for team(s).
- Ensure maintenance of team(s) billable percentages.
- Work with Team Leads to verify project progress and proper distribution of work.
- Project management, from project assignment through close out.
- Interface with clients when escalation and/or adjustments are necessary.
- Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Client management, including understanding client needs, addressing concerns, providing support, delivering value, managing expectations, fostering trust, and facilitating communication to sustain positive and long-lasting partnerships.
AM I QUALIFIED? Our wish list…
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field is typically required but not necessary.
- 8-10 years of management experience overseeing multiple people is required.
- A minimum of 6 years of prevailing wage/labor compliance experience is required.
- Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of State of CA and Federal Davis Bacon prevailing wage experience. We will train you on other state prevailing wage requirements but in case you have multi-state experience that’s awesome too.
- Verifiable experience in multi-project and team management with a proven track record of successfully leading multiple teams with varying project deliverables, from initiation to completion.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office platforms.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic environments and manage projects.
- LCP Tracker experience required.

- Depending on demonstrated prevailing wage/labor compliance experience, salaries are negotiable and range between $120,000 and $165,000, plus merit increases and performance bonuses.
