Who We Want: Senior Product Manager, Automation & Platform Technologies
The Senior Product Manager, Automation & Platform Technologies plays a critical role in advancing the company’s proprietary compliance technology products (known internally as “Alliant Access” and “Alliant Academy”) while also driving operational efficiency across Alliant’s broader business. As part of Alliant’s continued investment in innovation and scalability, this role owns the strategic direction, execution, and evolution of Alliant tech products — ensuring the platform supports audit-defensible outcomes, aligns with Alliant’s expert-led service model, and is ready for client-facing deployment and growth. In addition, this role partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and implement systems, process improvements, and efficiencies across existing projects and other business units. This position serves as the connective tissue between product strategy, technical feasibility, compliance requirements, go-to-market execution, and internal operations. The Senior Product Manager, Automation & Platform Technologies position provides technical oversight without acting as a software engineer, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The Senior Product Manager, Automation & Platform Technologies position will lead and coordinate both internal and external development teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of strategic initiatives. This role offers exceptional growth potential, including opportunities to enhance operational efficiency across Alliant’s enterprise, beyond Alliant technology products.
Duties / Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Product Strategy & Leadership
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy for Alliant tech products.
- Define the product scope, priorities, and sequencing based on business impact, compliance risk, and client value.
- Translate leadership goals into actionable product plans and milestones.
- Drive alignment around what the platform is, and is not, designed to do.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical oversight of the platform without direct code development.
- Partner with internal developers and external vendors to assess feasibility, timelines, and tradeoffs.
- Ensure platform architecture, data models, permissions, and automations are scalable, secure, and compliant.
- Inform future-state planning, including optimization or migration considerations.
Project Management & Delivery
- Drive end-to-end execution of technology initiatives, including planning, scheduling, and milestone management.
- Coordinate across development, labor compliance, business development, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Ensure features are delivered in a client-ready, stable, and usable state.
- Maintain accountability for timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
Go-To-Market (GTM) & Rollout Alignment
- Partner with Business Development and Marketing to ensure platform capabilities are pitchable and accurately represented.
- Support early-stage client conversations, demos, pilots, and rollout strategies.
- Align product releases with GTM timelines and messaging.
- Act as a source of truth for product capability and limitations.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Work closely with Labor Compliance leadership to ensure system outputs support audit-defensible outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate compliance, automation, and data integrity risks.
- Support internal standards and governance related to technology-enabled workflows.
Enterprise Efficiency & Business Systems Improvement
- Identify opportunities to drive operational efficiency across Alliant’s broader business, including non-Alliant Access projects and other business units.
- Evaluate and improve workflows related to project oversight, document review, reporting, and internal handoffs.
- Recommend and help implement systems, tooling, or process improvements that reduce manual effort and increase scalability.
- Ensure efficiency initiatives align with Alliant’s quality standards and risk tolerance.
- Evaluate existing workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation opportunities, including AI integration.
Management, Reporting & Communication
- Manage internal and external development teams.
- Continuously monitor system performance and provide direction for necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and ensure smooth transitions and adoptions.
- Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and roadmap reporting to executive leadership.
- Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and progress in clear business terms.
- Align stakeholders around priorities, cost, timelines, and future-state vision.
Qualifications to Join Our Team:
- Strong product leadership and project management experience in technology-driven environments.
- Technical fluency in software platforms, data workflows, automations, and integrations (without hands-on coding).
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-oriented industries preferred.
- Team Management, including management of internal and external reports.
- Ability to assess complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong understanding of product development and delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during implementation.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of technology project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- 3+ years of team management experience.
- Proven track record managing technology projects, preferably in SaaS or compliance-related solutions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic environments.
- Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent, preferred.
- AI implementation experience.

- Depending on demonstrated experience, the base salary for this position is between $140,000 and $170,000 per year, with growth and milestone bonus opportunities.
